NEW: City Employee Vaccine Mandate to be Lifted - Denver Health Vaccine Mandate Remains in Place

Denver's Public Health Order requiring COVID-19 vaccinations for all City and County of Denver employees and contractors, as well as private-sector workers in high-risk settings, will be lifted Friday, March 4 at 11:59 p.m. The mandate was put in place in the fall of 2021 to increase the vaccination rate to protect our community, as well as the health of our hospital system, during the Delta and Omicron surges.

Federal and state vaccination mandates remain in effect for personnel in certain settings, including medical facilities.

This means that Denver Health will continue to require vaccination for all employees unless a medical or religious exemption is granted. There are many vaccines required by healthcare settings that aren’t required by other entities, including city governments. In fact, Denver Health had the COVID vaccine requirement for our employees before the City mandated for theirs. Vaccination is a critical piece in our strategy to keep our community, patients and staff safe from severe disease and hospitalization.

NEW: DHMP To Cover Costs of At Home COVID Diagnostic Tests

DHMP will cover the cost of home diagnostic tests. Elevate Exchange and large group members can get tests at no cost at any in-network pharmacy, beginning Saturday, February 12, 2022. DHMP will cover up to (8) tests per member/per month.

Over-the-counter (OTC), FDA-approved diagnostic home tests purchased between January 15 and February 12, 2022 can be reimbursed by DHMP for up to (8) tests. You will need to submit a COVID-19 Diagnostic Test Reimbursement Form to DHMP, along with the receipt for your test purchase. Once your COVID-19 OTC diagnostic test reimbursement form is received and processed, allow up to 30 days for your payment to reach you. Reimbursement requests will not be accepted after March 12, 2022.

NEW: Visitor Coordinators to Ending Feb 27th

Following the transition of COVID-19 Screening staff to Visitor Coordinators, we will integrate visitor guidance into normal operations.

Effective Monday February 28th, we will no longer have staff performing visitor coordination at the entrances of Pavilions A and C. Instead, the patient information team and individual units will partner to ensure we’re adhering to the current tier of our visitor guideline policy.

All other COVID-19 guidelines regarding face masks, social distancing, and reporting symptoms are still in place and must be followed in all areas of the organization. We ask all Denver Health employees help ensure compliance with this policy.
