Awaiting Booster Shot Decision for Moderna and Johnson & Johnson

Denver Health is expecting a decision by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) by the end of this week on whether or not to recommend booster shots for people who received a Moderna mRNA vaccine series as well as those who received the one-dose Johnson and Johnson vaccine. The criteria for each booster is likely to be different and based on immune response. Pending full recommendation and approval by the CDC, Denver Health will be ready to provide booster vaccination to approved staff members and patients. When a decision is made, an email from covidinfo@dhha.org will be sent to all staff with information on how to schedule your booster if you are eligible under the approved guidance.
