COVID-19 Incident Command Updates Now Appearing in the 411

This new section of the 411 is devoted to Denver Health’s COVID-19 response. As a result of the scaling down of Denver Health’s COVID-19 Incident Command, important staff-wide updates related to our COVID-19 response will now appear here instead of in daily Huddle Sheets. Denver Health’s COVID-19 Incident Command is the group of staff members who guided and made decisions for the organization’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic.

COVID-19 Patient and Vaccination Numbers

As of Thursday, April 8, 13 COVID-19 positive patients are hospitalized at Denver Health. Nine are on inpatient floors, and four are in the Intensive Care Unit. As of 9:30 a.m. today, Denver Health had administered 113,178 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine. COVID-19 information for Denver County can be found by visiting Denver Public Health COVID-19 data.

Universal Masking Remains in Effect for All Employees and Visitors

The Denver Public Health mask mandate remains in effect (currently until May). This means all visitors and employees entering a Denver Health building are required to wear a mask or face covering. There are no exceptions to this policy, even after vaccination. Masks are available for visitors at all screening stations. Find additional guidance on mask use here, and learn how to manage visitors who refuse to wear a mask here.

Vaccines Available for New Hires at COSH

The Center for Occupational Safety and Health (COSH) now offers COVID-19 vaccinations at pre-employment visits. New hires who would like to be vaccinated should send an email to COSHreferrals@dhha.org. COSH front desk staff will contact the new hire to schedule a vaccination appointment in Pavilion M.
