NEW: Denver Health Vaccination Numbers
Staff vaccination numbers were updated at 4 p.m. today.
- 7,376 employees and residents have received their first dose of vaccine.
- 5,879 employees and residents have received their second dose of vaccine.
In total, Denver Health has administered 40,595 doses of COVID-19 vaccine to staff, as well as patients and members of the public who are eligible according to State guidelines.
NEW: PPE Update – Supplies are Stable
COVID-19 specific PPE categories, including iso gowns and N95 masks, saw a significant decrease in issues in keeping with the declining rate of inpatient cases. With the expansion of vaccination efforts, we have seen increases in the other three PPE categories but those are appropriate and create no risk, given current inventory levels. The supply chain for vaccination supplies, specifically, 1ml and 3ml syringes and 25G needles continues to tighten. We have several weeks of supply on-hand of items required to fill gaps in the ancillary kits provided by the State.
REMINDER: Cyber Threats – Exercise Caution and Keep Denver Health Safe
Cyber threat actors are actively attempting to infiltrate health care organizations with ransomware. Some of these threats are targeting the COVID-19 vaccine supply chain. PLEASE be very careful with emails – pause, review the email including any links – hover over the link with your mouse pointer to ensure the actual Internet location matches the email. Hesitate before opening attachments within emails with the [EXTERNAL] tag in the email Subject Line. Clicking on a malicious link can cause Denver Health to fall victim to Ransomware or other security breaches. This could disable critical systems needed for patient care, including Epic, PACS, Biomed devices, etc. We need your help in preventing these threats from being successful.
