What You Need to Know

NEW: Denver Health Staff Vaccination Numbers

These vaccination numbers were updated at 4 pm today.

  • 7,295 employees and residents have received their first dose of vaccine.
  • 5,753 employees and residents have received their second dose of vaccine.

NEW: Remind Non-patients to Remove Name from Other Clinics Once Vaccinated

There are many people who have signed up with several health care organizations/clinics to receive their COVID-19 vaccinations. When you are checking in a non-patient for their vaccination appointment at Denver Health, we are asking you to remind them to remove their names from any other health care provider’s list where they may have also registered. This will help Denver Health as well as our health care partners to remain focused on scheduling people who have not yet received their vaccine. Thank you in advance for your help on this front.

REMINDER: Successful Mass Vaccination Clinic with Denver Public Schools

Thank you to everyone who helped to coordinate, staff and support the mass Vaccination Clinic with Denver Public Schools (DPS) this past weekend. The event was a huge success! Denver Health administered more than 1,000 COVID-19 vaccinations to DPS staff members including educators, administrators, vehicle drivers and custodial workers. Many of the educators and DPS employees expressed gratitude and relief that they received their first dose. DPS Interim Superintendent Dwight Jones said this partnership with Denver Health is an important step to keeping students in the classroom.

The event took place all day at our new Outpatient Medical Center. Denver Health will continue to partner with DPS until all staff that want to receive the vaccination are able to get it.

REMINDER: How Staff Can Help with Vaccination Clinics

As we continue to increase Vaccination Clinic volumes and add clinic options, we need Denver Health staff members to help with the efforts. Through the Vaccine Clinics Internal Staffing Survey we are gathering a pool of capable, willing, and available staff to help with their knowledge, skills and expertise. We have received an amazing number of over 2000 respondents; 445 have completed the initial training in Cornerstone and 1339 are in process. Importantly, if you want to help, please check in with your leader before you sign up.

Attached to this Huddle Sheet is more detailed information about “What You Need to Do First” and “What You Need to Know” to offer support. If you are a manager or supervisor, please print this attachment and share it with your employees or post it in a well-trafficked location for people to see.
