What You Need to Know

As of 6:30 a.m. today, Denver Health had 48 inpatient COVID-19 cases (+1 from yesterday).

For more information, please visit the Denver Public Health COVID-19 Data Summary (please use Edge or Chrome). The website is updated daily and contains data on cases, hospitalization, deaths, testing and symptom monitoring.

NEW: Pfizer COVID-19 Vaccines Arrive Safely at Denver Health

Early this morning, the first shipment of the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine arrived at Denver Health. The vaccines were transferred to our pharmacy’s freezer without incident. The freezer temperature logs have been steady for several weeks and we anticipate no issues in maintaining a safe supply of vaccine.

NEW: COVID-19 Vaccinations Start Tomorrow for Denver Health Staff

Denver Health is excited to announce that tomorrow, Thursday, Dec. 17, we begin our first COVID-19 vaccinations for staff (in a limited trial run), followed by a daily vaccination schedule for identified 1A and 1B healthcare staff who have been prioritized via State and CDC guidelines on vaccine distribution.

The past two weeks, we have communicated many details on distribution, phasing to staff, and registration process. However, we do understand that communication gaps may still exist – including for those in the 1A and 1B priority employee groups.

IMPORTANT: If you believe you should have been included in the 1A and 1B employee vaccine registration group, but have not received communication on next steps, please do the following:

  1. Log into MyChart to first see if you have an invitation for vaccine registration
    For login or support help:
  2. Call MyChart support at
    303-602-4380, Monday-Friday, 8 a.m. to 10 p.m.
Do not call Help Desk, as they will be unable to assist.

If no invitation to register exists in MyChart, email COVID_Vaccine@dhha.org.

Note: We are optimistic all employees in the 1A/1B prioritization groups will be offered the vaccine by Jan. 15, due to the anticipated arrival of the Moderna vaccine by the week of Dec. 21. Future vaccine clinics, likely in early January, will be offered at sites other than the main campus. If you need to wait to be vaccinated until a later date, Denver Health will work with you to get you vaccinated.

REMINDER: Cyber Threats – Exercise Caution and Keep Denver Health Safe

Cyber threat actors are actively attempting to infiltrate health care organizations with ransomware. Some of these threats are targeting the COVID-19 vaccine supply chain. PLEASE be very careful with emails – pause, review the email including any links – hover over the link with your mouse pointer to ensure the actual Internet location matches the email. Hesitate before opening attachments within emails with the [EXTERNAL] tag in the email Subject Line. Clicking on a malicious link can cause Denver Health to fall victim to Ransomware or other security breaches. This could disable critical systems needed for patient care, including Epic, PACS, Biomed devices, etc. We need your help in preventing these threats from being successful.
