REMINDER: Action Required on the COVID-19 Vaccination Pre-Registration Form
DO NOT CALL THE I.T. HELP CENTER TO SET UP A MYCHART ACCOUNT
Please wait until you receive the MyChart activation email next week
All employees should have received a COVID-19 Vaccination Pre-Registration Form. The vaccine is not mandatory for staff at this time, but as a hospital system that advocates for vaccinations and for the health and safety of our staff, we strongly urge all staff to receive the COVID-19 vaccine. The registration form includes a question asking whether staff members are interested in taking the vaccine or not. It is very important for all staff to respond to the pre-registration email.
Employees who responded with “Yes” or “Unsure” in the form will receive a Denver Health MRN and MyChart activation email during the week of Dec. 14. If you do not already have one, you must create your MyChart account upon receiving your activation email. Denver Health employees with an existing MyChart account will not need to take any immediate action. At a later date, employees will receive an invitation to schedule the vaccination through MyChart.
We are asking all Denver Health leaders to ensure your direct reports have received the form so they have the opportunity to pre-register for the vaccine when it is available to them. This form also helps Denver Health understand how many staff members are interested in receiving the vaccine at this time.
· If an employee has not received the registration form link, they should email COVID_Vaccine@dhha.org to request a link.
· Information on the distribution and FAQ for the vaccine distribution and safety questions can be found on the Help Center here.
· Text messages in English and Spanish are being sent to staff who have not yet responded to the pre-registration survey.
NEW: COVID-19 Staffing Request
As we continue to work through the COVID-19 surge, the IC Logistics Team has developed an updated, simple process to request temporary labor when COVID-specific staffing resources are needed. This process uses SmartSheet to ensure streamlined tracking of requests and expedite approval.
Covid-19 Staffing Request Process
*For day-to-day permanent position requests, please submit requisitions through COMPASS.
Please note, all positions that were approved on 12/9/2020 for 5.2 COVID Surge Plan have already been captured. Please do not fill out a form for these positions.
For questions, please email COVIDfirstname.lastname@example.org
NEW: Child Care Resources & Emotional Support Resources
We know these are challenging times and every aspect of our lives are affected. For some of our staff, these challenges are made more difficult when they need to find new child care arrangements. To help you save time, we have created guides on resources that can help you find and pay for child care. We have also included a Confidential Mental Health Resources guide.
REMINDER: Grand Rounds: “COVID-19 Vaccinations: Reasons Not to be Scared”
Dr. Anuj Mehta held a Grand Rounds session on, “COVID-19 Vaccinations, Reasons Not to be Scared.” We know there were some technical difficulties in the WebEx and YouTube presentation, so thank you for your patience, and thanks to Dr. Mehta for sharing this important information. You can watch the YouTube session here: Dr. Anuj Mehta: “COVID-19 Vaccinations: Reasons Not to be Scared”
REMINDER: Cyber Threats – Exercise Caution and Keep Denver Health Safe
Cyber threat actors are actively attempting to infiltrate health care organizations with ransomware. Some of these threats are targeting the COVID-19 vaccine supply chain. PLEASE be very careful with emails – pause, review the email including any links – hover over the link with your mouse pointer to ensure the actual Internet location matches the email. Hesitate before opening attachments within emails with the [EXTERNAL] tag in the email Subject Line. Clicking on a malicious link can cause Denver Health to fall victim to Ransomware or other security breaches. This could disable critical systems needed for patient care, including Epic, PACS, Biomed devices, etc. We need your help in preventing these threats from being successful.
