NEW: Town Hall on COVID-19 Vaccine and Distribution plan for staff

Copy and paste the following link into your browser file://dhdcdept1/dept/Pulse%20Content/COVIDTownHall/COVIDTownHall.mp4 to view a recording of the Vaccine Town Hall WebEx session. Our team of experts presented background information on the vaccine and responded to staff questions. REMINDER: Action Required on the COVID-19 Vaccination Pre-Registration Form
Yesterday, all employees should have received a COVID-19 Vaccination Pre-Registration Form via email. The vaccine is not mandatory for staff at this time, but as a hospital system that advocates for vaccinations and for the health and safety of our staff, we strongly urge all staff to receive the COVID-19 vaccine. The registration form includes a question asking whether staff members are interested in taking the vaccine or not. It is very important for all staff to respond to the pre-registration email.
Employees who responded with “Yes” or “Unsure” in the form will receive a Denver Health MRN and MyChart activation email during the week of Dec. 14. If you do not already have one, you must create your MyChart account upon receiving your activation email. Denver Health employees with an existing MyChart account will not need to take any immediate action. At a later date, employees will receive an invitation to schedule the vaccination through MyChart.
We are asking all Denver Health leaders to ensure your direct reports have received the form so they have the opportunity to pre-register for the vaccine when it is available to them. This form also helps Denver Health understand how many staff members are interested in receiving the vaccine at this time.
· If an employee has not received the registration form link, they should email COVID_Vaccine@dhha.org to request a link.
· Information on the distribution and FAQ for the vaccine distribution and safety questions can be found on the Help Center here.
We ask that leaders ensure all staff who want to pre-register for the vaccine are provided the time and the tools to do so.
NEW: More Double Rooms on 4B – Remember to Use Two Patient Identifiers
There are now 12 double rooms on 4B so all staff members are reminded to use two patient identifiers when interacting with patients on the unit. Rooms 402 to 424 are now doubles, each occupied by two patients, and it’s important that all clinical and ancillary staff (incl. Lab, X-ray, Dietary, and others) check the identity of patients. Signage is attached to each door indicating that bed one is closest to the door and bed two closest to the window. If there is any confusion please check with the Charge RN for clarification.
