Law Enforcement in Hospital

Law enforcement officers are permitted to interview suspects and victims in the hospital, as long as they follow the same personal protective equipment (PPE) guidelines as our staff. This means that officers should wear an N95 mask, a gown, gloves, and eye protection whenever they enter the room of a suspected or positive COVID-19 patient, or the Operating Room of a suspected or positive COVID-19 patient who is undergoing surgery. In all other areas of the hospital, officers should wear a surgical mask plus face shield if patient facing.
